Impact Player for Hillcrest

Hillcrest already has a handful of Division 1 recruits and impact players to watch this summer, and more will also follow sooner rather than later. Hillcrest senior RB/DB Erimus Wright is a Power 4 recruit who has impressive tools and high level ability. Hillcrest junior DE McHale Blade (6-foot-4, 240 pounds) is also drawing national recruiting attention and scholarship offers.

Looking or a sleeper name to watch this fall for Hillcrest? Keep an eye on Hillcrest junior standout two sport athlete (football/basketball) Max Carmicle (6-foot-2, 230 pounds) who is a Division 1 basketball player who also has the tools and ability to also become a D1 level tight end as well.

EDGY's Preseason Thoughts on the 2024 Hillcrest Hawks

Hillcrest and head coach Kyran Weaver has been one of the better football programs over the past 6-7 seasons in the Chicagoland South Suburbs. The Hawks have made the IHSA state playoff field for the past 7 seasons and former Hawks defensive linemen and now head coach Kyran Weaver has posted a 17-14 record in three seasons.

The biggest question for Hawks heading into 2024?

Can the Hawks get out of the gates strong this fall and reload at a few key spots (WR/DB this summer? Hillcrest looks to have a pretty stacked starting lineup but the schedule is also strong opening the season against both Benet Academy and at Montini Catholic. If the Hawks can get a few early wins this season they have a chance to develop into one of the better Class 5A schools in Chicagoland this fall.
