Crystal Lake Central has a handful of impressive names to watch this fall especially oin the defensive side of the football. CLC senior OL/DL Tommy McNeil (6-foot-2, 240 pounds) is a strong inside player on both sides of the football for the Tigers who is also a multiple year starter.
Looking for a sleeper name to watch this fall for Crystal Lake Central? Crystal Lake Central senior DE Ben Kolodziej (6-foot-4, 235 pounds) is another polished defender who will also continue to draw increased recruiting looks and attention this fall.
EDGY's Preseason Thoughts on the 2024 Crystal Lake Central Tigers
Crystal Lake Central and head coach Dirk Stanger is looking to build upon it's 2023 5-5 season as the Tigers made the Class 6A state playoff field and lost to Lake Zurich in opening round action. CLC head coach Dirk Stanger has posted a 7-12 overall record in two seasons as the Tigers head coach.
The biggest question facing Crystal Lake Central this summer?
Can the Tigers get back to the IHSA state playoff field in 2024? Crystal Lake Central has a nice core of 9 returning starters back this summer (4 offense 5 defense) but the Tigers also just graduated a very strong senior class which included several key playmakers. If the Tigers can reload at a handful of key positions (QB/DB/DL/LB) this summer they will once again be in the mix in the always tough Fox Valley conference this fall.
