Impact Player for Murphysboro:
Senior LB/RB Ethan Finkle (6-foot-1, 195 pounds). Finkle will be a multi-year starter in 2022 for the Red Devils and also an impact player on both sides of the football. Finkle, along with All, State RB Devon Clemons will provide a serious one-two punch in the Red Devils offense his fall.

The Red Devils made the 2021 Class 4A state playoff field and lost to Breese Central in second round action to end the season. Murphysboro and Hall of Fame head coach Gary Carter welcomes back a ton of experience and talent this coming fall including 19 starters back in the fold. Look for the Red Devils to be a favorite in the Southern Illinois River to River Ohio along with being a potentially Top 10 ranked team in the preseason Class 4A team polls.
