Senior QB Braden Reilly had an all conference season in 2021 for the Coalers. Look for Reilly to again be asked to step up and provide production along with leadership for the Coalers offense this coming season.

The Coalers (6-4) made the IHSA state football playoff field in 2021 for the 13th out of the last 14th time. The Coalers program will again challenge all comers in the Illinois Central 8 and will rely on the defense (6 returning starters) to lead the way this coming season. The conference race in the Illinois Central 8 has become even more loaded with the rise of Reed Custer, joining the likes of Wilmington, Lisle and Peotone and this race will be strong again in 2022.
