Impact Player for Centralia:
Senior OL/DL Jehchys Brown (6-foot-3, 265 pounds) is drawing steady recruiting looks and interest this spring. Brown, who was an all conference player in 2021 will again be asked to play on both sides of the football this fall. The Orphans will also look towards Brown for leadership on and off the field this fall.

The Orphans (4-5) missed out on the 2021 IHSA state playoff field as the Orphans just didn't play well agains the teams with winning records (1-5) while taking care of the lesser teams (3-0) last season. The Orphans will welcome back 15 returning starters (8 offense 7 defense) and if Centralia can reload at a few key positions (OL/DL) they will again challenge in the upper tier of the South Seven conference and beyond in 2022.
