Impact Player for Woodstock North
Senior QB/DB Jay Zinnen is a multi-sport athlete who is also a veteran varsity starter and impact player for the Thunder. Zinnen, who will again be asked to play full time on both sides of the football will be asked to help provide leadership on and off the field along with also adding more overall production for the Thunder in 2022.

The Thunder (0-9) failed to win a game in 2021 and struggled in the Thunder's first season in the combined Kishwaukee River/Interstate 8 White conference. New Woodstock North head coach Matt Polnow is a longtime assistant coach who takes the reins of the Thunder football program this fall. The Thunder will need to no question shore up a defense that allowed nearly 42 points per game last season. The Thunder will welcome back a handful of returning starters who will be asked to play full time on both sides o the football this season. The biggest question for Woodstock North this summer is can they reload and build up the overall numbers and talent level program wide starting this fall?
