Impact Player for Wheaton Academy:

Senior QB Belay Brummel (6-foot-2, 185 pounds) is a terrific overall athlete who has been drawing a ton of FBS/FCS recruiting looks and interest all spring and summer long. Brummel was able to get quite a bit of playing time in 2021 and Brummel has the physical tools and upside to develop into a higher level quarterback.

EDGY's Quick Take on the Wheaton Academy Warriors:

The Warriors (8-3) made the 2021 Class 4A state playoff field, defeated Coal City in opening round action then lost to eventual 4A state champion Joliet Catholic in second round action. The Warriors will look to again make a run in the Metro Suburban and also in the Class 4A state playoff field. The biggest issue facing the Warriors this summer is can Wheaton Academy continue to add more overall numbers and depth to the roster? Wheaton Academy will also play a stacked regular season schedule which includes several potential state playoff contenders in Marian Central Catholic/Bishop McNamara/ICCP plus St. Ed's and Aurora Christian.
