Senior OL/DL Tyler Schmidt is a two way starter and long time varsity lettermen for the Bulldogs and will again be expected to again provide leadership and production on both sides of the football this fall.

The Bulldogs (10-1) had a strong 2021 season under then head coach Dave Mills. The Bulldogs won the Northern Lake County conference title with an undefeated 9-0 record, then made the IHSA 6A state playoff field and beat Lakes then lost to Prairie Ridge in second round action. Wauconda welcomes in first year head coach Terrance Terry, the former Barrington standout player and former H-F assistant coach this season. Look for Wauconda to rely on a handful of key senior starters back this fall, yet this program will also need to reload on both sides of the football this summer. The biggest question for Wauconda this summer is can the Bulldogs can back at it under a new head coach and a new system this fall? Look for Wauconda to be in contention for the NLC conference race and a state playoff bid this season.
