2022 Team 7on7 or Team Summer Camp?

June 27th @Pekin
July 7th @Normal West
July 11th @Washington
July 23rd 16th Annual Washington 7 on / We will do a lineman camp at our place as well that day

Impact Player for Washington:

Senior OL Henry Worrick (5-foot-11, 260 pounds) is an experienced varsity starter who will be asked to anchor the Panthers offensive line in 2022. Worrick will also be asked to play on both sides of the football this season and his leadership skills will be important for this younger but talented team in 2022.

EDGY's Quick Take on the Washington Panthers

The Panthers (9-3) made the 2021 Class 6A state playoff field and also won the Mid Illini conference title. The Panthers defeated Normal West, Champaign Centennial then lost to Crete-Monee in the 6A quarterfinal round. The Panthers and veteran head coach Darrell Crouch has built up the Panthers program into a consistent winner and one3 of the top programs in Class 6A/5A. Look for Washington to spend this summer reloading the lineup on both sides of the football with just 3 returning starters back this season. The Panthers program however always has good numbers and talent and the younger Panthers looked pretty solid in it's annual 7on7 and linemen camp earlier this month. The early schedule is a challenge with major games against Highland, Kankakee then taking on Mid Illini rival Metamora in Week 3. The biggest question facing the Panthers this summer is how long will it take this younger team to gain experience at the varsity level? I'm expecting this Panthers team to become better and better as the season moves along, and I would rather play this team early in 2022 rather than later. I expect Washington to again be a state playoff caliber team and to also challenge for the Mid Illini conference title.
