Impact Player for Vernon Hills
Senior QB Nolan Lazor (6-foot-4, 175 pounds) is a big tall and lanky athlete who has a good and accurate arm along with just being a very solid all around athlete. Lazor, who is the son of NFL assistant coach Bill Lazor will be asked to provide leadership and production on and off the field this season.
EDGY's Quick Take on the Vernon Hills Cougars:
The Cougars (7-3) made the Class 6A state playoff field in 2021 and lost to Prairie Ridge in opening round action. Look for the Cougars to reload this summer and to again challenge for a Central Suburban North conference title and a state playoff bid. The biggest question this summer for VH is can they reload in a handful of key spots (WR/DB)?
