The Vikings (12-1) had a strong 2021 state playoff run as Tri Valley made the Class 2A state playoff field, defeated Rockridge, Deer Creek Mackinaw and Farmington before losing to eventual Class 2A state champion Wilmington in the state semifinal round. Look for the Vikings and head coach Josh Roop to reload this summer behind a strong core of senior starters while also looking towards the underclassmen group to help fill in some open spots due to graduation. The biggest question facing Tri Valley this summer is can the Vikings replace graduated All State QB Andrew Petrilli this summer? Look for Tri Valley to draw preseason Class 2A Top 10 votes for the 2022 season.
