Impact Player for St. Charles East:

Senior OT Austin Barrett (6-foot-6, 270 pounds) is a highly sought after name at the FBS level this summer. Barrett, who si the younger brother for former Saint and current Wisconsin OL Dylan Barrett has several D1 offers and interest. Barrett has impressive physical tools and look for him to play full time on both sides of the football this season for St Charles East.

EDGY's Quick Take on the St. Charles East Saints:

The Saints (2-7) failed to make the 2021 IHSA state playoff field and will welcome in former in house assistant coach Nolan Prossley takes over the Saints football program this season. Look for the Saints to rely on a nice returning core of starters on the offensive side of the football including starting offensive tackles in senior Austin Barrett and junior Bodey McCaskin. The biggest question this summer for STCE is can the Saints reload, especially on defense with just two starters back from last season. Can new head coach Nolan Possley also help restock the program's overall numbers (which have been down over the past handful of seasons) and get this program back to becoming a year in and year out state playoff qualifier. I'm looking for an improved season this fall from STCE and the schedule could be a real positive early on this fall...and are the first three games winnable here for the Saints? Getting off to a good early start is paramount for St Charles East in 2022.
