Impact Player for Riverside Brookfield:

Junior QB Diego Gutierrez (6-foot-0, 185 pounds) wull be a multi-year varsity starter and a key playmaker once again this season for the Bulldogs. Gutierrez has an impressive arm, great overall awareness and he's also a very mobile threat to beat opposing team with both his arm and his legs. I also really like Diego's overall motor and he's a high level competitor who will do whatever it takes to win games. .

EDGY's Quick Take on the Riverside-Brookfield Bulldogs:

The Bulldogs (5-5) made the 2021 Class 6A state playoff field and lost in opening round action to East St. Louis to end the season. The Bulldogs and new head coach Sam Styler inherits a roster loaded with a ton of experience back this summer, including 8 starters each on both sides of the football. The biggest question for RB this season is how quickly can the program and team adjust to a new head coach and system this summer? Look for the Bulldogs to again make a strong run in the Metro Suburban red conference along with gaining another state playoff bid in 2022.
