Impact Player for Plainfield South:
Senior RB Brian Stanton (5-foot-10, 190 pounds). Stanton will be a rare four year varsity starter for the Cougars in 2022. Stanton, who is also a multi-year all conference and all area performer has a ton of speed, power and upside to play at the higher college level. Look for Brian Stanton to again post some highly impressive overall numbers and offensive production in 2022.
EDGY's Quick Take on the Plainfield South Cougars
The Cougars (3-6) had a rare down season in 2021 and will look to bounce back this fall. The Cougars and head coach Bill Bicker has led the South football program to the state playoffs in 2019 and 2018 and the 20922 team will rely on a strong core back with 12 returning starters (6 offense 6 defense). The Cougars schedule is no question tough early (West Aurora/DeKalb/Yorkville/Plainfield North) but look for this team to find a way to make a late push to make some serious noise in the East side of the Southwest Prairie Conference this fall.
