Senior RB/DB Kanye Tyler is a multi-positional and multi-year varsity starter and impact player for the Dragons. Tyler has sprinter speed and explosiveness who will again be a big game breaker for Pekin in all three phases of the game in 2022.
EDGY's Quick Take on the Pekin Dragons:
The Dragons (8-3) made the 2021 IHSA Class 7A state playoff field, defeated Libertyville in opening round action then lost to Hononegah in the second round to end the season. Look for veteran head coach Doug Nutter to rely on an experienced roster and depth on both sides of the football as a strength this summer. I'm also looking for Pekin to again become a factor in the Mid Illini conference race this coming season.
