Senior OL/DL Ian Mutchler (6-foot-4, 265 pounds). Mutchler will be a two way starter and key on both sides of the football for the Potters this coming season. Mutchler, who was an all conference performer last season is also drawing recruiting looks and interest this spring and has
EDGY's Quick Take on the Morton Potters:
The Potters (10-3) had an impressive run in the Class 5A state playoff field in 2021, as Morton lost in the 5A semifinal round to Kankakee to finish the season. Morton no question has some huge shoes to fill with the graduation loss of All State RB Seth Glatz. Glatz posted some incredible rushing numbers and was a huge part of the Morton power running attack. The Potters welcome back 11 returning starters including 7 back on defense and if Morton can develop some go to players on the offensive side of the football they will be in contention for the Mid Illini conference and a state playoff spot this fall.
