Impact Player for Metea Valley:

Senior DL Omatayo Taiwo (6-foot-0, 240 pounds) is a good sized interior defensive linemen who will be asked to raise his game to another level and help slow down the opposing run games this fall. Taiwo has made some nice strides in his overall game this off season and has a chance to play at the next level.

EDGY's Quick Take on the Metea Valley Mustangs:

The Mustangs (3-6) missed the 2021 IHSA state playoff field and played easily one of the harder all around schedules last season in losses to 8A state champion Lockport along with the usual slate of strong teams in the DuPage Valley conference. Metea Valley and head coach John Parpet will look to reload this summer with 14 starters graduating this past spring from the 2021 squad. The Mustangs will also need to find answers at several key spots including QB/OL/WR plus DL and DB along with adding more overall numbers and depth. The biggest issue can this Metea Valley team get time to develop and wins games at the same time against a rugged schedule week in and week out?
