Impact Player for Marion
Senior QB Evan Noelle (6-foot-4, 190 pounds) is a big, strong signal caller who had a very strong junior season for the Wildcats. Look for Evan Noelle to again be asked to put up some big numbers and big plays for the Marion team that will again be playoff bound this coming fall. I also look for Evan Noelle to continue to draw various FCS/D2 looks and recruiting attention this summer and fall.

The Wildcats (10-2) was able to make a deep run in the Class 5A state playoff field in 2021. The Wildcats posted an impressive 8-1 regular season record then defeated Metamora and Mascoutsah before losing to Kankakee in the quarterfinal round. Look for the Wildcats and veteran head coach Kerry Martin to again have Marion ready for the South Seven conference slate and beyond in 2022. Look for Marion to draw some attention and preseason Class 5A Top 10 preseason polling consideration.
