Impact Player for Lemont:
Senior QB Payton Saloman (6-foot-0, 180 pounds) is a multi-sport athlete who will be asked to lead the Lemont offense this fall. Saloman has a very solid and accurate arm, is more than capable of making teams play and defend his running ability and is a leader on and off the field. Saloman will also have a ton of weapons at his disposal this fall along with an experienced offensive line blocking for him this season.
EDGY's Quick Take on the Lemont Football Team
The Lemont Football Team (11-1) posted a perfect 9-0 regular season and won the South Suburban Blue conference title. Lemont then made a deep run in the 2021 Class 6A state playoff field, beat Kennedy and Springfield before losing to East St. Louis in the quarterfinal round. With a ton of experience back this season (10 offense 5 defense) I look for Lemont to make another potential deeper run in Class 6A this fall.
