Impact Player for Jacobs:
Senior TE/DE Grant Stec (6-foot-6, 230 pounds) is a Power 5 level recruit who will be asked to provide production on both sides of the football again for the Golden Eagles. Stec has impressive size and physical tools and is one of several multi-year starters this fall for the Golden Eagles.

The Golden Eagles (8-4) made a nice run in the Class 7A state playoff field in 2021 as the Golden Eagles finished in the Class 7A state quarterfinals, losing to Prospect to finish the season. Jacobs second year head coach Brian Zimmerman will welcome back an impressive 16 returning starters (8 offense 8 defense) with the offensive skills group being a real strength for the 2022 season. The biggest question for Jacobs this summer? Can the Golden Eagles reload at a few of key spots on the offensive and defensive line? Look for Jacobs to be a challenger in the FVC conference title hunt and to get back into the IHSA state football playoff field.
