West Aurora

Impact Player for Glenbard East:

Senior DE Troy Cooper (6-foot-4, 230 pounds) is one of a handful of defensive linemen who look primed for a big 2022 season. Cooper has the eyeball passing looks and tools to play at the high level in college and I project him as an FCS level prospect.

EDGY's Quick Take on the Glenbard East Rams

The Rams (7-3) made the 2021 Class 8A state playoff field and lost to Marist in opening round action to end the season. The Rams and veteran head coach John Walters and staff continues to get his program in the Upstate 8 conference title contention along with the state playoffs over the past three seasons. Look for Glenbard East to rely on a veteran team back including 14 starters (7 offense 7 defense) along with some help from the underclassmen group this summer. The biggest question facing Glenbard East is can they rise it's overall game and overtake the likes of Upstate 8 defending champion South Elgin and other contenders like rival Glenbard South this fall?
