Impact Player for Freeport:

Senior QB Xzaveon Segner (6-foot-7, 210 pounds) is easily one of the most intriguing names to watch this fall from the NIC-10 conference this coming season. Segner has size and is a solid all around athlete who will be asked to again lead the Pretzels spread offense this coming season.

EDGY's Quick Take on the Freeport Pretzels:

The Pretzels (3-6) had an up and down season in 2021, yet Freeport had it's chances in a handful of games and that 3-6 recored with a few breaks could have become say 5-4 last season. The Pretzels welcome back a ton of varsity experience, especially on the offensive side of the football this summer. The biggest question for Freeport this summer is can they beat the teams they should bear in the NIC-10 and gain a post-season playoff birth this fall? Also how far away are the Pretzels from challenging the top tier of the NIC-10 schools? I feel we will get several answers this fall for the Freeport program.
