Senior OL/LB Johnny Kolber is a talented two way starter and an impact player on both sides of the football for the Cardinals. Look for Kolber to continue to draw recruiting looks and attention this spring and summer.

The Cardinals (8-3) made the 2021 Class 1A state playoff field and defeated rival Galena in opening round action before losing to another NUIC rival in eventual state champion Lena Winslow in second round action. The biggest question for Forreston and the rest of the NUIC schools is can they get ready to potentially beat each other more than once in a season? With the delayed start of a true 1-32 seeding in Classes 6A thru 1A which was set to begin this fall, can Forreston win in the NUIC then find a way to beat more than a few of it's rivals in the post-season?
