Impact Player for Evergreen Park:

Junior RB/DB Jed Adjayi (5-foot-8, 175 pounds) is a speedy and athletic playmaker on both sides of the football for the Mustangs. Look for Adjayi to get plenty of touches this summer and fall for Evergreen Park and Adjayi is one of a handful of 2024 names who will draw considerable recruiting looks this fall and beyond.

EDGY's Quick Take on the Evergreen Park Mustangs:

The Mustangs (6-4) made the 2021 Class 5A state playoff field and lost to Sycamore in opening round action. Evergreen Park and head coach Jerry Verde will look towards reloading a bit this summer with the graduation losses of 13 graduated starters, several being multi-year starters for the Mustangs in 2021. Getting out of the gates well early will be huge for Evergreen Park this fall and have what I feel are three winnable games (Manteno/Carver and Oak Lawn) before digging deeper into the schedule including the conference slate this fall. The biggest question for EP remains can the reload in several key spots (WR/DL/LB) along with develop more overall numbers and depth program wide? Look for the Mustangs to again challenge for an IHSA state playoff berth this season.
