Impact Player for Downers Grove North:
Senior WR/DB Ethan Thulin (5-foot-11, 180 pounds) is a multi-positional and multi-year starter and impact player for the Trojans. Thulin, who is also a multi-sport athlete as well will be asked to provide both leadership and production in all three phases of the game this fall for the Trojans. Thulin has been very active on the college camp circuit this summer and is drawing steady recruiting looks from various FCS level programs.

The Trojans (4-5) came up a game short of qualifying for the 2021 IHSA state playoff field and lost four straight games after getting off to a 4-1 start. The positives for the Trojans and head coach Joe Horeni is that the program's last four regular season losses came against state playoff qualifiers in Hinsdale Central, Glenbard West, OPRF and Lyons and that North played very competitive football against the top teams in the West Suburban Silver. North will also welcome back 17 returning starters this summer and several of those starters back have multi-year varsity playing experience. Look for DGN to be highly competitive in the West Suburban Silver race this fall and I believe North will be a state playoff team this season.
