Impact Player for Cahokia:
Senior WR/DB Nicholas DeLoach (6-foot-2, 175 pounds) is already committed to Missouri this summer and is one of the top all around athletes in the State of Illinois Class of 2023. DeLoach will again be asked to provide production and leadership on both sides of the football for the Comanches. Cahokis also has several additional names to watch this summer and fall including senior QB Orlando Gooden plus senior OL/DL Jason Howell.

The Comamches (5-5) made the 2021 Class 4A state playoff field and lost to Rochester in opening round action. The Comanches and head coach Orlando Doc Gooden has a roster loaded with talent and are looking to make a return to the IHSA state playoffs and also looking to make a deep run this fall. The biggest question for Cahokia this summer is can they get 5 wins with a schedule that's pretty loaded with much larger schools (Alton/H-F/O'Fallon) this season. Also the South Seven conference is also pretty solid and will also provide the Comanches a very solid test this season. Look for the Comanches to battle all comers this season and if they can get into the IHSA state playoff field, they could become one of the top teams to watch in the 4A South bracket in 2022.
