Impact Player for Blue Island Eisenhower:
Sophomore WR/DB Andre Lovett (6-foot-1, 170 pounds). Lovett as a freshman in 2022 made a big time impact at the varsity level for the Cardinals and head coach Sheamus Murphy. Lovett is a talented multi-positional athlete who is already drawing various higher level recruiting looks and attention this spring.
EDGY's Quick Take on the Blue Island Eisenhower Cardinals
The Cardinals (5-5) was able to make the Class 7A state playoff field in 2021 and lost to Normal Community in opening round action. The Cardinals will need to reload a bit this summer including at a handful of key spots (QB/DL) but the program remains on an upswing and look for Eisenhower to again compete for the SS Red conference title and another IHSA state playoff bid.
