Senior DE Micheal Garner (6-foot-7, 245 pounds) is a big, tall and lanky athlete who is starting to draw recruiting looks and offer from schools across the Midwest this summer. Garner will be asked to raise his game again this fall and will also see action on both sides of the football for Bloom this fall.

The Blazing Trojans (3-6) struggle and failed to make the 2021 IHSA state playoff field. Bloom and veteran head coach Tony Palombi played a ton of underclassmen last season and welcomes back a deeper and a much more experienced team this fall. With 18 returning starters back (9 offense 9 defense) look for Bloom to have a better shot at getting to 5 wins this fall and back into the IHSA state playoff field. The race for the Southland conference will again be top heavy including both Crete-Monee and Kankakee yet Bloom could end up challenging for a top tier spot as well this fall.
