Biggest Question facing Wheaton South this fall?
Can the Tigers keep things rolling minus retired Hall of Fame head coach Ron Muhitch? Muhitch, who built the Tigers into a power program over the years finally stepped aside and has retired. In steps longtime assistant coach Sean Norris as his replacement. Norris is a well known and well respected coach in the Tigers program for years and his transition will be seamless in my opinion. The program has been on a recent surge and the Tigers welcome back some key names including several starters back on offense. Look for the Tigers to be once again in the hunt for the Dukane conference title along with a Class 7A state title this fall.
Impact Player for Wheaton South:
Senior WR Brandon Bell. Bell is a terrific game breaker type of impact player for the Tigers who looks primed for a big breakout this coming fall. Bell has great speed and burst, shows to have terrific hands and body control along with just having a knack for making big plays. Bell has been drawing lots of recruiting looks and attention this summer and expect Bell to continue to be highly sought after this season.
Game to Watch this Fall? Week 6 vs Wheaton North
The annual Wheaton South and Wheaton North game is always a big deal, and the fall matchup will be yet another key game this coming season. Many expect Wheaton North to be the early favorite to win the Dukane conference, yet getting a win over Wheaton South at South on a Friday night is not easy whatsoever.
