Biggest Question facing Waubonsie Valley this fall?
Can the Warriors get back to it's winning ways this fall? Waubonsie Valley was able to post a 1-3 record in the spring season and unfortunately didn't get to play the last two weeks of the spring season due to COVID concerns. The Warriors played a ton of underclassmen last spring and welcomes back an impressive 19 returning starters, many of who will have two more varsity seasons left to play. If the Warriors can get out of the gates quickly this fall, I can see them having a better than fighting chance of posting a winning record and a potential IHSA state playoff bid.
Impact Player for Waubonsie Valley
The Warriors have a ton of young and talented names this fall and the junior class is stacked with a ton of talent. Keep an eye on junior QB Nate Pappas along with junior RB Jabron Lee. Both Pappas and lee was able to get valuable varsity playing time as sophomores last spring, and both players have a chance to move the Warriors offense ahead a few more steps this fall.
Game to Watch this Fall? Week 7 versus Neuqua Valley
The Warriors will have several key games this season, but the annual rivalry game against Neuqua Valley is always a dandy that draws a huge crowd year in and year out. Waubonsie Valley lost 34-12 to Neuqua in the spring and payback will be on the line here for the Warriors.
