Biggest Question facing Waterloo this fall?
Can the Bulldogs crack the upper tier of the Mississippi Conference this fall? Waterloo and head coach Dan Rose was able to post a 4-1 record this past spring season, but the spring schedule did not include Mississippi Valley powers Troy, Highland and Mascoutah. Waterloo welcomes back a nice core of returning starters this fall and was able to find some answers in the offensive skills with 2024 QB Adan Morrow along with 2024 RB Evan Davis. Look for Waterloo to post a winning season this fall and to also challenge for an IHSA state playoff spot.
Impact Player for Waterloo:
Senior OL/DL Anthony Maxey (6-foot-5, 260 pounds) is one of a handful of two way starters who will be asked to lead the way for the Bulldogs line play this fall. Maxey has drawn various FCS/D2 recruiting attention this summer and will continue to draw looks this fall.
Game to Watch this Fall? Week 4 @ Mascoutah
Waterloo will look to get off to a strong early start this fall, and the schedule looks good early here. Yet Week 4 begins a very big test for the Bulldogs starting with a road game at Mascoutah. Win over Mascoutah and Waterloo has a chance to build up some serious mid season momentum.
