Biggest Question facing Warren Township this fall?
Can the Kids from Six Flags continue to play and compete in the post-season at the highest level of Class 8A again this fall? Warren Township and head coach Bryan McNulty somewhat quietly has built a powerhouse over the past 4-5 seasons. Despite some heavy graduation losses this spring, I just don't see this program slowing down anytime soon. The talent level remains high and the overall depth has never been better. Warren Township has made it look easy at times, especially over the past few seasons in the North Suburban conference. This program will again be highly ranked in the preseason in both Chicagoland and in state wide polls.
Impact Player for Warren Township:
Senior RB Maurice Edwards. Edwards is an impact running back and a big time game breaker to watch this season. Edwards has finally started to see his recruiting stock take off this summer. Warren Township always looks to establish the running game offensively, and look for Edwards to get plenty of work this coming fall.
Game to Watch this Fall? Week 2 vs Maine South
The Barrington Week 1 game also drew some consideration here, but the Blue Devils I have a feeling will be "up" big time for the Hawks in this Week 2 showdown. Maine South will be very solid this fall, and this game presents a much needed non conference test and challenge for a team that has made winning the conference look pretty easy the past few years. No question Week 1 and Week 2 will be great early measuring stick games for the Blue Devils.
