Biggest Question facing Shepard this fall?

Can the Astros remain as the lead dog in the South Suburban Red again this fall? Shepard and head coach John Rone was able to post an impressive 5-1 record in the spring season and included big wins over Oak Lawn Richards and the remainder of the conference teams. The Astros welcome back a decent core of returning starters especially in the offensive skills. If the Astros can reload upfront on the offensive and defensive line, they have a very strong chance of posting back to back conference titles.

Impact Player for Shepard

Senior RB/DB Kendrick Washington is a valuable two way starters for Shepard and who will again be asked to provide some serious offensive production along with making big plays for the Astros this fall.

Game to Watch this Fall? Week 4 vs Richards

The Astros play a completely front loaded schedule this fall including the first three games on the road at Kankakee, Plainfield East and at Lemont. Those will be great non conference challenges, yet when it comes to the conference Week 4 against rival Richards is a huge game on several levels. Can the Astros beat Richards back to back? The South Suburban Red conference title game can very well end up being played in Week 4 at Shepard.
