Biggest Question facing Salem this fall?
Can the Wildcats beat the upper tier teams in the Cahokia conference this fall? The Wildcats and head coach Kevin Greene posted a 3-3 record in the spring, yet Salem also played the top tier teams in the conference pretty well despite the handful of losses. Look for this Salem team to bring back some key names back from the spring on both sides of the football and that experience and some key added epth could push this Salem team towards the top of the Cahokia conference this fall.
Impact Players for Salem
Both senior WR/S Caden Bee along with senior RB/LB Braden Smith are major two way impact players and names who will be asked to again provide big time production in all three phases of the game.
Game to Watch this Fall? Week 2 vs Alton Marquette
The Wildcats lost a close 28-21 game to Alton Marquette last spring and this is setting up nicely for a key early game and test for Salem. If the Wildcats are planning to hang and beat the top tier programs in the Cahokia conference, a win over Alton Marquette would send one heck of an early message to the rest of the conference.
