Biggest Question facing Peoria this fall?

Can the Lions reload at several spots and not skip a beat this season? Peoria and head coach Tim Thornton have developed into one of the top programs in Central Illinois over the past 5-7 seasons. The Lions feature a basketball on grass wide open spread offense that focuses on putting up yards and points in bunches, and a team that has a ton of speed and explosiveness allover the field. The Lions will look to replace several key starters from the 5-1 spring team especially on offense. Yet the Lions have already proven to have more than enough in house talent to reload and go, and that should be the case again this season.

Impact Player for Peoria

Senior WR/DB Deatric Pollard is a non stop two way starter who is a key in all three phases of the game for the Lions. Pollard will again be asked to never leave the field and will also be asked to provide important senior leadership to a less experienced Peoria offense this summer.

Game to Watch this Fall? Week 6 vs Normal Community

Certainly the inner city games (Manual/Richwoods/ND) are always important to Peoria, yet Week 6 against an always solid Normal Community team will no question have potential conference title and state playoff implications. I would also keep an eye on that Week 2 TBA game which I have a feeling could involve a top programs outside of the Peoria/Big 12 conference area.
