Biggest Question facing LaSalle Peru this fall?
Can the Cavs continue it's spring season success this fall? LaSalle-Peru and head coach Jose Medina had a breakout season this past spring, highlighted by a 5-0 record and wins over Kaneland, Morris and longtime rival Ottawa. The Cavs will welcome back some key names especially in the offensive backfield along with a nice core of starters on defense, a defense that was a strength this past spring season. Look for LP to again challenge in the Interstate 8 and beyond this fall.
Impact Player for LaSalle Peru:
Senior QB/FS Sean Whitfield. Whitfield was one of several key starters this past spring for the Cavs who will again be looked at to provide major leadership and production on both sides of the football this fall.
Game to Watch this Fall? Week 3 vs Ottawa
The LaSalle Peru schedule is loaded this fall, and opening games against Morton and Metamora are big time matchups to start the season. Yet one of the oldest and most intense rivalry games no question is Week 3 hosting Ottawa. Regardless of the talent level or strength of the team from year to year....both schools are definitely "up" for this old school rivalry game every single season.
