Biggest Question facing Lakes this fall?

What happened in the spring and can the Eagles get back the Northern Lake County conference title from Antioch this fall? Lakes and head coach Jordan Eder posted a pretty shocking 0-6 record in the spring season, something that just hasn't happened at all for Lakes. Was the spring season a blip? Lakes will welcome back 15 returning starters this fall (8 offense 7 defense) and this program always has numbers and solid depth. Antioch has been running the conference, but now that the Kaliakmanis brothers have moved onto Minnesota, does that help the Eagles chances? I say yes....but that 0-6 spring record is still a head scratcher and something that is holding me back from hoping on board the Lakes bandwagon.

Impact Player for Lakes?

Senior OL/DL JP Sullivan is a talented two ways starter up front for Lakes who will again be asked to provide production and leadership on both sides of the football.

Game to Watch this Fall? Week 1 versus Sterling

I seldom pick a Week 1 non conference game as a game to watch, yet after the 0-6 record in the spring season getting a good idea of where this Lakes team stands will be of utmost importance. Sterling is a very strong, tough Class 5A power program and a big time challenge for the Lakes Eagles right out of the gates. So how strong is this Lakes team and can they hang with and even beat a team such as Sterling? A Week 1 game will give us an initial impression of the Eagles this fall and a solid starting point.
