Biggest Question facing Joliet West this fall?

Can the Tigers take another step forward as a program this fall and post back to back (sorta) state playoff appearances? The Tigers and veteran head coach Bill Lech has gotten the Tigers to a higher level in his tenure, and made the IHSA state playoff field for the fist time in years along with winning a conference championship for the first time in 50 years. If the Tigers can replace some graduated production (including Indiana RB Trenton Howland) they have a shot at a conference title this fall.

Impact Player for Joliet West

Senior LB Bryan McCoy is a D1 level recruit who is also the Tigers team leader. McCoy is expected to play on both sides of the football this season and McCoy is also a terrific sideline to sideline tackler in leading the Joliet West defense. Look for McCoy to have another big season this fall.

Game to Watch this Fall? Week 9 vs Plainfield South

Everyone in and around the Joliet schools always plays up the rivalry game with Joliet Central, which is understandable but Central still has a ways to go before they can go head to head with the Tigers. The big rivalry game for the Tigers will be Week 9 hosting Plainfield South and idf things play out as I think it could....this could be a huge game for the Tigers conference and IHSA post-season implications.
