Biggest Question facing Elgin this fall?
Can the Maroons reload at multiple spots this summer? The Maroons and head coach Anthony Mason was one of several programs who seemed to be primed for a big 2020 fall season, yet COVID and the State/IHSA had other plans. Elgin finished the spring season with a 4-2 record and graduated a terrific senior class last spring which included several key veteran playmakers led by QB Jeff Lomax (NIU). The Maroons will look towards experience back on the offensive line but will need several contributions this fall from multiple new faces.
Impact Player for Elgin
Senior OL Tony Rios. Rios is an experienced offensive linemen who will be asked to lead a less experienced team and offensive linemen group this fall. Look for Rios to continue to draw increased recruiting looks and attention this summer and fall.
Game to Watch this Fall? Week 3 @ Bartlett
The Maroons lost to rival Bartlett in the spring season and the fall Week 3 rematch will no question be a very early indicator of just where the Maroons program is at this coming season.
