Biggest Question facing Dixon this fall?
Can the Dukes make some noise in the Big Northern conference this fall? The Dukes are looking to improve upon a 1-3 record in the spring season, a season that got off to a slow start for Dixon. The Dukes didn't play it's first game of the spring season until Week 3 due to various COVID related delays. Look for the Dukes and head coach Jared Shaner to rely on an experienced team this fall and an offense that is capable to putting up big yards and points.
Impact Player for Dixon?
Senior QB Jacob Gaither is a top notch quarterback who is also a multi-positional player and also a multi-sport athlete at Dixon. Gaither will look to carry the Dukes with his impressive arm and running ability this season.
Game to Watch this Fall? Week 5 vs Winnebago
The Dukes posted a 1-3 season in the spring but was able to hang with everyone on it's schedule including Winnebago, who beat Dixon 19-14 in the spring season. The Week 5 game with Winnebago along with Week 6 at Rockford Lutheran will no question will be major games in the Dukes Big Northern and IHSA playoff chances.
