Impact Player for Providence Catholic: Senior TE/DE Jameson Geers, Geers, who has been verbally committed to Minnesota going back late January was an impact player on both sides of the football for the Celtics in 2019. Geers was always a threat on offense and really developed into a top level defensive end as well who will be relied upon again as a leader on and off the field in 2020.

EDGY's Quick Take on the Providence Catholic Celtics: The Celtics (8-4) had a nice run in Class 6A before losing to Glenwood in the 6A quarterfinal round. The Celtics will need to reload a bit this coming summer especially on the offensive line where all five started graduated this spring. Providence will look towards it's offensive skills group as a strength (Conway/Geers/Vaughn Jr.) this coming season and expect the Celtics to again challenge in the CCL/ESCC Green and in Class 6A in 2020.
