Impact Player for Hononegah: Senior WR Braden Sayles. Sayles is one of several returning starters back this fall for Hononegah and head coach Brian Zimmerman. Sayles has excellent speed and hands and will continue to draw recruiting looks and interest this summer and fall.
EDGY's Quick Take on the Hononegah Indians: The Indians (8-3) had a solid season in 2019 but lost to Batavia in second round action in Class 7A. Look for the Indians to make a big return this season with an impressive 16 starters back (8 offense 8 defense) from a season ago. The NIC-10 in general was an "up" year in 2019 and look for Hononegah to be part of the upper tier teams this fall in the NIC-10.
