Impact Player for Eureka: Senior OL/DL Thomas Cahill. Cahill, who will be a multi-year starter for the Hornets in 2019 will again be asked to lead on both sides of the football in 2020. Cahill, who is an excellent student in the class room has been drawing recruiting attention from several FCS/D2 level schools this summer.

EDGY's Quick Take on the Eureka Hornets: The Hornets (8-3) had a strong season in 2019 and will welcome back several key starters from a season ago. Look for Eureka to again be in the hunt in the very strong Heart of Illinois Large conference and battle the likes of GSMS and Fieldcrest for the conference crown. The Hornets will also draw some looks for preseason Class 3A polling purposes.
