Linked is my Final State Wide 2019 Final Class 6A Top 10 poll. I'll start to break down Class 8A thru 5A Top 10 here and will list each class in a separate thread.
Also I generally use the final 2019 Class 8A thru 5A enrollment numbers/classes at this time of the year before IHSA releases the 2020 preseason class breakdown.
Your preseason thoughts on 6A? Post em here.

Locks to Make the 2020 Preseason EDGYTIM Class 6A Top 10 poll
1. East St. Louis 14-0- Simply put the Flyers were the state's top team regardless of class (ROCS poll...remember when I did that like what 10 years ago?) in 2019 and from the looks of things...you can plug in the Flyers here again in 6A for 2020. The Flyers and head coach Darren Sunkett welcome back 5 starters on offense anchored by senior QB Tyler Macon (Missouri), senior WR Dominic Lovett, senior WR Keontez Lewis plus two sophomore 300 pound linemen in Myles McVey and Paris Patterson. Defense? Just three starters return and all three will be just juniors in DL Jireh Mays, LB Jamol Molten and LB Jalen Byrd while junior DB Ahmad Robinson sat out last year after transferring into the East Side and is a high level recruit. The overall depth and talent level has never been higher in my 25 plus years of covering the Flyers program.
2. Prairie Ridge 12-2 The Wolves made it to the 6A state title game then ran into East St. Louis and ended up second in 6A. Prairie Ridge coach Chris Schremp will welcome back 9 returning starter this fall (4 offense 5 defense) and senior FB/DE Carter Evans is a key along with senior RB/LB
Taidhgin Trost and senior OL Ryan Pearson leading the way. The defense also has experience returning in the linebacker and secondary positions. One of the FVC teams will undoubtedly make a state title run in 6A.
7. Cary Grove 9-3 The Trojans lost three games in 2019, two coming to Prairie Ridge which I'm sure has not been forgotten this off season. Cary grove also brings back a good core of experienced starters (6 offense 6 defense) including three starters back on the offensive line. Senior RB
Arik Mistak is a key to watch along with senior LB Johnny Gagliano for Cary Grove inn 2020.
10. Crete-Monee 10-1 The Warriors always just get the job done year in and year out. Playing in the expanded Southland conference didn't faze this program whatsoever and Crete won yet another Southland conference in 2019. Keep an eye on senior OL Saveyon Henderson along with a speedy and talented offensive backfield for Crete-Monee this coming season.
