    Clearly, like all great players, he wanted to stay in the game. However, not sure they was the best thing for him personally or the team. With that said, we are not privy to what was really going on, so just hope he’s ok.

    Props to Naz and the adjustments they made in the second half. Clearly the JCA plan was run Grigsby and run him more. When he want down they had no other strategy. Too bad. Grigsby was a warrior! Will always be remembered for what he did in this game on one leg.

    You gotta be able to recruit good players. Look at the job the Thornes did turning an awful program at North Central into arguably now the best D3 program in the country. Who can do that at WIU in a very out of the way place? Who wants to?

    Check out the last great football coach at WIU. Darryl Mudra. Passed away last year at age 93. Was at WIU from ‘69 to ‘73 or so. A true winner! Sent from there to Florida State started their turnaround and Bobby Bowden credited him for that. Came back to EIU and won a national championship...
