A yearly tradition: Tell Me Where To Go Week 1 Friday night game

I say Oscar Smith vs Hermitage at Hampton. Don’t know if the edgy mobile can make it that far

Well, after what came to light this spring isn't this technically "Non Boundary vs Non Boundary"? Might be the first time I ever cheer for Rice
Great joke…1 player left the public school after an exhaustive investigation. Catholic schools are like on steroids with their recruiting. MS shouldn’t on paper have beaten MC and LA in the past championship games - and Marist on the way in 2021, but it did with local kids and great coaches. And now MS former OC is at LA…and we wish him well. Glad public’s like MS and Rochester play privates every season to show you how far privates are from being elite despite best efforts in IL.

I'm not invested in MS or LA football, and this is the first time hearing Bliss is now OC at LA.

Was Bliss the 'fall guy' for the MS debacle? I'm assusming so. If so, that's sad to hear.

All.... I have never understood that "business" on inadequate seating. I googled Flynn Stadium and the away seating is hard to believe. Almost zilch. It really eliminates the older crowd that wants to see a game sitting down unless they arrive early and stand in line which makes the whole thing difficult.

When KL Stadium was going to be built at SHG the school was taking input and suggestions on what they would like to see within reason from alumni . Only one from me and others who were very adamant on this particular subject Enough seating on BOTH sides. And as you know Roamin" this is private funding. Every penny counts. Worked out pretty good . About 2,500 on the home side and 2,000 for the visitors. And because they had students in mind who socialize as much as watch the game kind of like mini berms on the endzone sides good for another 2000. Very fan friendly overall. Ratsy
Yep a tremendous setting for sure....

Assuming the IHSA skeds are correct ...
Thursday, Aug. 24: Lincoln-Way East at Kenwood. Kenwood has the 3rd- and 5th-ranked players in the state by Rivals, committed to Miama (Fla.) and Michigan, respectively. Good to see them in action against perhaps the state's best 8A team.
Friday, Aug. 25: Nazareth Academy at Kankakee. Kankakee has huge offensive lineman ranked No. 7 in state by Rivals. Good to see him vs. quality. opponent.
Saturday, Aug. 26: Mt. Carmel vs. East St. Louis. Obviously, a no-brainer. But also good that Rivals' No. 6-ranked player and No. 13-ranked player are in action.
So in one week, Rivals' Nos. 3, 5, 6, 7, and 13 rated players in the state can be viewed in action in person against quality opposition.
Rivals' Nos. 1 and 2. players (from St. Ignatius and Glenbard South) will have to wait a bit for their teams to face better competition.
