Was dissecting it and what a travesty.you have DLS who will get to play 4 consecutive CPL teams until the Super v Lemont. They won their 2 win regional by a combined score of 36-0. Then u have LWW and JC playing each other FIRST game then Latz and Lemont.unbelievable.

It is brutal, indeed. Just like in football at times. But, yet, we'll be called complainers and whiners because God forbid, we speak of inequities that could be fixed.

Ok so seriously guys, this isn't the NCAA basketball tournament here, should the IHSA rally go scout all 500 baseball teams before doing their assignments?? Then 500 softball teams?? 400 soccer teams??? 500 boys track teams?? 500 girls track teams??

They could do sectional complexes, which they are looking into for the entire state, but then you guys would still complain..

Yes, they could put some effort of seeding the teams so there aren't repeats of that Regional.
Playoff points, something similar to football anything has to be better than the current system.

In football everyone plays 9 games, in baseball some
play 35 and others will play less...

In baseball and softball there are 128 regionals.. all that's been talked about is 1 baseball regional... so maybe it's not that big of a problem??

Integrity??? Isn't the best team still going to win the state title???

I think something cool would be to do away with the regionals and supersectionals... Each class has 4 sectionals, about 40 teams each, double elimination tournament... Run it over about 18 days... Then Final Four also double elimination, ran Thursday thru Sat
