I just checked the IHSA playoffs clinchers & hopefuls...Westmont, at 3-1, is staring at a playoff berth...Right now, they have the worst strength of schedule in the state, with opponents only having 6 wins - the next lowest is 9 wins. The Sentinels remaining schedule includes 3 winless teams, a 1-3, and a 2-2....There is a high possibility they will get to 6 wins, maybe 7, and only their third playoff berth in school history...Week 1 they were blown out by former conference foe Seneca 40-0, who at 2-2 has 1/3 of the opponent's wins...
Another Independent, Madison, is 4-0 with only 9 opponents wins...they are the only schools in the state with opponents' wins under 10...
Christ the King might get their first win this week...their opponent from Canada forfeited week 1 to Madison...
Back on point...who has the record for fewest opponents wins and making the playoffs...and does Lisle put up 80 on them in a first round 3A game?
