Way too early big 12 conference ranking

Surprised Normal West is as low here as they are....and I've heard a lot about how Peoria could be as strong in 2023 as 2022.....but hey...why not right?

All.... The Ironmen really have had their way in Big 12 conference play. Since 2004 a record of 119-20. Until Peoria came that is. That record currently is 2-3. 14-6 against Community West. CW has an overall record of 5-2 against Peoria. Those would be my top three. In which order would be tricky to figure out.

Peoria loses RB Washington but returns a decent qb and one top receiver and a few others. They also have some big lineman to replace but have them in waiting. Their unique style of play gives the opposition fits at times. Rochester will play them week one. If Peoria plans to onside often which is their way the Rockets will be more then happy to have many short fields to score with their now seasoned team. (from 2022) That should be a fun game.... The reason I have them that low is because their team last year was senior heavy , especially defensively. I think they’ll have a down year .they only return about 5 starters , I think they’ll get better later on in the season because it will take them time to get their wheels going because of all the inexperienced players they will have .

Normal community is returning plenty of key players so I expect them to dominate the conference like they did in 2021 .Peoria is losing Malachi but they have another Rb that will step up ( he’s a quick elusive back ). They are also returning two starting receivers , one of them was an all conference player (Tq webb) and they’re also returning their Qb who has been a starter since he was a sophomore . On the line they’ll have to replace 3 positions . So I’ll say that Peoria will be one of the top teams in 5a again next season and a top contender in the big 12. As for normal west they lose 9 players defensively so their defense won’t be as good . Offensively though they return 3 receivers, one that was all conference and they return an all conference lineman . The biggest question I have for this team next year is if they’ll be able to reload and be one of the top teams in the big 12

The bloomington arrow is pointing up . Last year they started a good amount of sophomores , their starting Qb was a sophomore and their sophomores went 7-2. Bloomington is returning almost all of their starters from last year and although their record wasn’t good this past season , with the experience they have they’ll be way better than last season.

All.... Starting wr Hearns (40-844- 6td's) is a senior. Peoria will still be in the mix though for a conference title. Ratsy
