Cheer up LWE! For what its worth. A great story was in the making this year only to be dashed by a common foe...Loyola. Marist should've beaten Loyola, if for no other reason, because I don't have a storyline if that doesn't happen. Then Marist gets revenge on Maine South after MS upset a far more talented Marist team a few years ago. Then LWE transfer QB Ritter returns home to beat his former school in a triumphant last minute running TD and is carried off the field by friend and foe. And then Marist finds itself back in the State Championship against York. First year Marist HC Fitz and Marist win handily and our curse is finally put to bed.

A guy can dream. Happy Thanksgiving everyone and best of luck to those still in the dance.

Loyola

The prep and game plan going into each game is grass and tails better than everyone else

When you look at your teams schedule doing the W/L math in your head; you stop at the Loyola name and drop an F bomb

If you look at a earlier post of mine - I too - thought the LA vs Marist second round match up was a crime. And the loser of that game was a victim of once again the the seeding of 1-32 that counts all wins as equal. To me Marist gave LA a better game than LWE for sure. In the Marist game - I never felt LA was in control and it took the special team play to seal that deal. In the LWE game - in the second half you saw LA impose their will and you felt they where gonna come back and win. Never felt that in the Marist game. Marist O-Line did a great job. Great year for Marist and I feel your pain. That history and stats will show that this Marist team bowed out in the second round where I think that was at least a semi-final game. Given the Main South and LWE game's that followed. It was LA's toughest game so far in the playoff if that makes you feel any better which I doubt it does. And no surprise that Marist team belonged in the CCL Blue this year. Good luck next year !
